Q: What makes Lark About Design different?
A: We’re a queer & woman-owned business, living-wage certified & totally focused on helping support tiny businesses and organizations. We are masters at right-sizing our services & pricing.
Q: Do you just use AI to make the flyers?
A: Nope! That’s the whole point!
We know that AI is taking over seemingly everything (yeah, we’re on facebook, too)… the AI-generated flyers typically all look exactly the same, and simply aren’t effective in getting your potential customers attention (or worse, they get negative attention).
Q: How are these so cheap?
A: There’s a big difference between custom and semi-custom design.
Custom Design is when a designer is creating 100% of the elements of your design from scratch. There are typically many rounds of discovery, revisions and feedback, and custom design can (rightfully) cost hundreds or thousands of dollars to account for the designer’s time.
Semi-Custom Design is when designers are using pre-made packs of graphic elements to speed the design process. This is typically a better fit for most small business & nonprofit needs and one-off flyers & graphics. Our human-made flyers are a semi-custom design service, which is how we’re able to offer it at the price that we do. We do our absolute best to source human-made, AI-free icons & graphic elements.
