Jedi Charter: Zero Customers to Fully Booked in Six Months

Project Start: March 2025

Location: Denver, CO

A Denver charter company. A brand built to stand out. A timeline that worked for them.

When Kevin and the team behind Jedi Charter came to me, they had the big dream and almost everything a great business needs… except visibility.

They had the bus. They had the mission (safer roads, better experiences, a genuinely different kind of ride). They had the heart.

What they didn't have yet: a single customer, a brand that communicated their difference, or a digital presence that could compete in a market dominated by big, long-standing players with big advertising budgets and fleets to match.

And here's what made the stakes even higher: that bus was parked in the driveway. The overhead was real. The pressure to start booking quickly wasn't hypothetical… it was urgent.

So we got to work…

The Branding Challenge: "A Bus Is a Bus"

The Denver party bus and limo market is not exactly a quiet corner of the internet. Jedi Charter was entering a world of well-established companies with massive ad spends, long review histories, and a head start of years or even decades.

The temptation in that position is to try to match the big guys. To compete on price, to mimic their marketing, to shout louder. We didn't do that. Instead, we asked a different question: who is Jedi Charter actually for?

The answer changed everything. Jedi Charter wasn't trying to be the biggest or the loudest. They were building something safer, kinder, and more human, specifically for the families, women, and LGBTQ+ folks who want a transportation experience that is safe, affirming and trustworthy.

They weren't for everyone. They were deeply and specifically for their people. That clarity became the foundation we built everything else on.

What We Built: A Custom Squarespace Website

We built Jedi Charter a brand identity that communicated distinction from day one. This wasn't about looking like a startup trying to keep up. The focus was about looking like a business that already knew exactly who it was. Polished, warm, and unmistakably different from every competitor in the market.

The website wasn't just a digital brochure. It has their booking software built in and was built to work from day one.

SEO and accessibility were baked in from the very first layout decision and structured so potential clients could find Jedi Charter on Google, understand immediately why they were the right choice, and book with confidence. We built for the client journey and a future Google Ads integration, not just the cool factor.

Managed Social Media Content Marketing

Then, we set up their social presence to match the brand.

Consistent, clear, and ready to grow.

It was also an excellent way to announce to their existing personal networks that something big was underway.

The goal was to make sure that wherever a potential client encountered Jedi Charter first, whether it was the website, Instagram, or a Google search, the experience felt cohesive and trustworthy.

It was an also excellent marketing vehicle to be able to reach clients, venues and event planners in a more personal way than most of the big companies do.

Google Ads: Connecting With People At Exactly The Right Moment

With a strong online foundation in place, we layered in Google Ads to drive immediate, targeted traffic, putting Jedi Charter directly in front of people actively searching for transportation services in Denver.

Rather than waiting months for organic SEO to fully kick in, ads let them start capturing demand right away while their organic presence grew underneath.

We leveraged their budget and utilized Google Ads credit to make sure we were optimizing every dollar they could spare for advertising.

The Before & After

✅ Fully booked within six months

✅ A bold, fun brand that clearly communicates who they're for

✅ A website built for SEO and conversions

✅ Google Ads driving immediate targeted traffic

✅ 100% 5-star reviews praising their warmth and care

❌ Zero customers, zero visibility

❌ Big overhead, no revenue yet

❌ Unclear how to differentiate in a crowded market

❌ No brand, no website, no digital presence

❌"A bus is a bus" mentality from competitors

The Moment It Really Became Real

You can track bookings. You can measure clicks and conversion rates and ad spend. But the moment I knew Jedi Charter had truly arrived wasn't any of those numbers. It was the Google reviews.

They weren't saying "great service" or "good driver." They were saying they couldn't imagine having booked with anyone else. That their expectations hadn't just been met… they'd been exceeded, emotionally and practically. People felt something different about riding with Jedi.

Personally, I’ve never written a google review for a bus driver. But their riders were stoked and happy to spread the good word:

Their business didn't just look different on the website, it felt different. That's the thing I always hope for, and with Jedi Charter, it happened completely.

And for me, this was all the proof I needed to know that we had done something epic together…

“When I hired Lark I saw the number of potential clients go from 4 leads per month to 100 per month! I knew that I was going to be able to not only break even but be successful!

Absolute relief is the feeling I've had for about a year now!”

- Kevin, Jedi Charter Founder

What Made It All Work

Jedi Charter didn't succeed because we made a pretty website. They succeeded because we started with the right question — who are we actually for, and what makes us different from everyone else? — and let every single decision flow from that answer.

The branding, the site copy, the ad targeting, the social voice: it all pointed to the same people and the same promise. And when your entire digital presence speaks to exactly the right person with a consistent, clear message, everything just starts to work faster.

Six months. Fully booked. From a bus in the driveway to a calendar full of people who chose them specifically because of who they are.

That's the kind of launch I love to be a part of. 🦆

Spoiler alert: this could be you & me.

Whether you're launching from scratch, stepping into a new chapter, or finally ready to stop spiraling and start showing up… I'd love to hear about it.
